Foods that Help Fight Immune System Problems

For one reason or another, some people will naturally have weaker immune systems than others. Sometimes you go through seasons of greater immune health than at other times. Having a healthy immune system is necessary to overall health and it is achievable.
If you're looking to protect your immune system, foods high in vitamin E, like nuts, whole grains, seeds, leafy green vegetables and vegetable oils are what you should be looking for. Packed with vitamin E, they are powerful sources of antioxidants.
Feel a cold about to touch down in your system? Make a lemon tea. Slice a lemon and put slices in a sauce pan with about 16 ounces of water. Add a small piece of fresh ginger and about a teaspoon of honey. Bring to a boil. Let rest a few minutes, then pour into your coffee mug and enjoy.
For alleviating nasal congestion, add some onions and garlic to your lunch/dinner.
Since food alone cannot provide sufficient vitamin nutrition, don't forget your supplements.

Great advice that has worked well for me in the past. I drink fresh squeezed lemon tea with real honey for colds but haven't tried using ginger in the drink. This makes sense as ginger is a great relief in respiratory ailments. Thanks for posting. Voted up.
OUTSTANDING!
Very good Hub, I am going to have to give the lemon tea a try next time I am feeling poorly! Steve
